The Atmosphere

Step
Inside

An evening at Five Dots begins the moment you ring the bell.
Everything after is intentional.

The lighting, the music, the leather, the glass in your hand — nothing here happened by accident. We set out to build a room that felt like another era, and another world.

The Room

Another
era, alive

When you step through the door at 14b Chapel Road, the sound of the street disappears. What replaces it is the low swell of jazz, the clink of ice, the murmur of good conversation. That transition is engineered.

The space is intimate by design. Low lighting — candles on every table, warm amber above the bar — ensures the room feels like a secret worth keeping. Exposed brickwork, dark wood, leather seating. Nothing contemporary. Nothing disposable.

We wanted guests to feel that they had discovered something. That the bar had been here, waiting, all along.

The Five Dots bar — over 300 bottles of the world's finest spirits
The Bar

Three hundred
stories on a shelf

The back bar at Five Dots holds over 300 bottles. Scotch from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay. Aged Caribbean rums. Small-batch bourbons. Artisan gins from across the British Isles. Rare mezcals from producers who name their agaves.

Every bottle was chosen deliberately. Some are here for their excellence. Some for their rarity. Some because Thanos drank them in a bar in another city and spent years tracking down a supplier.

You can drink your way around the world from one bar stool on Chapel Road.

The Details

What you'll
notice

Sound

The soundtrack never stops

Jazz plays every evening — curated, never algorithmic. On Fridays, it is performed live. The music sits underneath the conversation rather than competing with it. By midnight it is easy to believe you are somewhere in New Orleans, not Worthing.

Light

Lit like an old film

We use candles and warm amber bulbs throughout. There is no overhead lighting that could flatten a room or a face. The bar glows from within. Shadows are part of the design. Photographs always look better here than anywhere else.

Touch

Materials that mean something

Leather seats that have been broken in. Heavy crystal glassware that sits differently in the hand. Linen napkins. Solid bar top. Nothing here is a simulacrum of quality. We sourced the real things, and they will last longer than any of us.

The Collection

A wall
worth studying

The spirit wall is the first thing most guests look at. It draws the eye immediately — hundreds of bottles arranged with care, lit from below, each one an argument for a different country, era, or style of distillation.

Thanos has spent years building this collection. New bottles arrive regularly. Some are permanent fixtures. Others are here for a season and gone. If you see something interesting, ask about it. There is usually a story.

If you cannot decide, tell us what you feel like — we have never failed to find the right bottle.
